Robinhood unveiled plans at its HOOD Summit on September 29, 2026, to introduce perpetual futures contracts for Bitcoin and Ether with leverage up to 10x. The rollout to eligible U.S. users is scheduled for the coming months. Additional contracts offering up to 3x leverage will cover Ether peers such as Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink, and Hyperliquid. Robinhood also intends to launch weekend stock and ETF trading via Bruce ATS in early 2027, pending regulatory clearance.

The product reveal followed a turbulent session on September 28, during which CoinGlass data recorded $478 million in crypto liquidations, predominantly from $386.5 million in long positions. On October 3, Ether was priced at $2,683, reflecting a 51.8% gain over 90 days but a 38.7% decline over the past year. Over the same periods, Bitcoin stood at $84,621 (up 33.3% over 90 days, down 29.8% year-on-year) and Solana at $119 (up 44.6% over 90 days, down 46.4% year-on-year).

Under Robinhood's design, contracts will settle balances every 15 minutes. The report underscores the risk profile of 10x leverage, explaining that an adverse 10% move completely depletes a trader's margin and forces a liquidation, compared to an approximate 33% buffer under 3x leverage.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
