Nine Blockchain Firms Form Quantum Alliance to Standardize Post-Quantum Defenses

A coalition led by Quantus and Midnight aims to establish unified post-quantum security standards across the cryptocurrency sector.

Nine blockchain companies, including Quantus and Midnight, have established the Quantum Alliance to accelerate the crypto industry's preparation against potential quantum computing threats. Led by Quantus founder and CEO Christopher Smith, the initiative seeks to create standardized post-quantum specifications for migration, zero-knowledge proofs, wallet security, and cross-chain interoperability.

The alliance intends to streamline technical decision-making so that networks can adopt pre-established cryptographic standards as they transition. The development follows growing industry concern over quantum timelines, with some specialists projecting operational quantum machines as early as 2028 and pushing for widespread blockchain readiness by 2029.

According to research cited from Migration Fail, nearly $2.7 trillion in crypto market value remains vulnerable to quantum risks. The assessment awarded Bitcoin a "D" grade and Ethereum and Solana an "F", while Quantus and three other networks hold an "A" rating for already implementing post-quantum signatures. Tron has announced plans for a mainnet post-quantum upgrade in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Site call on Bitcoin Neutral score 5.2

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
