Ripple Prime Launches Institutional Perpetual Swaps for Equities and Commodities

Institutional desks can now trade continuous synthetic contracts on traditional assets using Ripple's stablecoin for margin on Hyperliquid.

· +3

Ripple Prime introduced perpetual swaps tied to real-world assets on October 15, providing institutional clients with round-the-clock trading access to more than 100 traditional asset classes. The offerings span equities, indices, exchange-traded funds, energy, foreign exchange, and metals, including gold and crude oil.

The contracts are quoted by Trade.xyz on the decentralized derivatives network Hyperliquid, with Ripple Prime acting as the direct counterparty to clients. This setup provides centralized risk management and unified margin across multi-asset portfolios. Trading desks, including market maker Virtu, can use Ripple's stablecoin as eligible collateral across their positions.

Michael Higgins, international chief executive of Ripple Prime, stated that real-world asset swaps bridge traditional finance with digital infrastructure. The announcement follows broader institutional adoption of tokenized synthetic trading, with open interest across traditional perpetual contracts reaching $9 billion over the past year.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
