Solana Faces Valuation and Supply Challenges on Path Toward $295 High
A return to record highs for Solana would require substantial capital inflows to overcome network fee declines and token inflation.
Solana traded at $117 following a 21% weekly gain, leaving it 44% lower over a twelve-month period and roughly 152% below its record high of $295 set on January 19, 2025. That prior high was driven by high memecoin volumes following the launch of the TRUMP token on January 17, 2025, which pushed daily network fees to $33 million and monthly application revenue to $806 million. Daily fees have since fallen to approximately $1 million.
Token issuance to validators has expanded the circulating supply to about 587 million SOL. Consequently, returning to the $295 price level would require an aggregate market capitalization of roughly $173 billion, exceeding the $140 billion network valuation recorded at the January 2025 peak.
New capital channels include US spot Solana funds, launched on October 28, 2025, which held roughly $1.42 billion across 10.6 million SOL as of September 17 after 12 consecutive weeks of inflows. Furthermore, Solana supports approximately $465 million in tokenized shares of publicly listed companies trading around the clock.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
