Bitcoin consolidates between $62,000 and $66,000 despite selling
Bitcoin holds range-bound despite institutional and miner selling, while corporate adoption and regulatory progress accelerate.
Bitcoin has spent the past month consolidating between $62,000 and $66,000, with institutional buyers absorbing selling pressure from miners and other large holders. The consolidation reflects market resilience, supported by expectations of a September Fed interest rate hold.
Institutional adoption has remained robust despite price stagnation. Tudor Investment Corporation ended a year of selling by increasing its BlackRock spot Bitcoin ETF holdings by 18.9% in the second quarter, while quantitative trading firm Jane Street added $630 million in spot Bitcoin ETF shares, bringing its total position to between $990 million and $1.06 billion.
Corporate treasury adoption continues to expand. Metaplanet is transferring 2,100 Bitcoin and $2.5 million in cash into Super League Enterprise, effectively rebranding the gaming company to Superplanet and bringing its Bitcoin treasury strategy to the Nasdaq. Chinese firm Zhibao Technology recently became the 33rd publicly traded company to hold Bitcoin, having raised 2,380 BTC through a share sale.
Regulatory developments have also supported adoption. Kazakhstan announced a three-year 0% tax on individual crypto gains, while Russia's regulatory framework has prompted the Moscow Exchange to launch Bitcoin and Ethereum futures trading in September. BlackRock noted that a 1-2% portfolio weighting in Bitcoin delivers optimal risk-adjusted returns with reduced stock market correlation. Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has proposed Bitcoin education in public schools, mirroring El Salvador's Bitcoin literacy program.
Near-term technicals suggest Bitcoin could rise to $65,000 resistance if it holds above the median realized price of $63,200, though a break below that level could lead to $62,000.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
