Blockchain Organizations Form Quantum Alliance to Standardize Security Protocols
Nine cryptocurrency firms have launched the Quantum Alliance to develop open testing standards, warning that roughly six million Bitcoin remain exposed to future quantum computing risks.
Nine digital asset organizations have established the Quantum Alliance, an open standards initiative designed to define technical requirements for quantum resistance and verify security claims across blockchain networks, wallets, and infrastructure. The coalition warned that standard elliptic-curve cryptography leaves approximately 6.04 million BTC—around 30% of the total circulating supply—vulnerable to potential attacks projected for the late 2020s.
Modeled after the Internet Engineering Task Force, the consortium operates across four dedicated focus areas: network migration, post-quantum zero-knowledge systems, wallet security, and cross-chain compatibility. Technical proposals will be evaluated based on verifiable public implementations rather than financial backing or token ownership, with all documentation published openly.
Founding participants in the group include Quantus, Postquant Labs, Midnight Foundation, Keystone, Abelian, and cybersecurity firm Hacken. According to Quantus chief executive Christopher Smith, the initiative seeks to establish clear industry benchmarks at a time when protocols frequently claim quantum readiness without standardized definitions or testing methodologies.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
