Bitwise to Liquidate Dogecoin ETF Following Low Asset Growth
Asset manager Bitwise announced plans to close its Dogecoin exchange-traded fund less than a year after its debut.
Bitwise has announced it will liquidate the Bitwise Dogecoin ETF (BWOW) in October, concluding the fund's operations less than a year after its introduction in late November 2025. The asset manager stated the closure is intended to optimize its broader product lineup in response to shifting investor demand.
Fund records show that BWOW held approximately $688,000 in net assets as of September 9. Trading on NYSE Arca is scheduled to conclude on October 14, which will serve as the final session for shareholders to execute market sales before operations cease entirely.
The asset manager plans to convert the underlying Dogecoin holdings into cash on October 14, halting the creation of new shares prior to market open on October 15. Remaining investors will receive automatic cash distributions through their intermediaries on or around October 22, calculated according to the fund's net asset value on October 21.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
