The high concentration reflects custody by major platforms rather than individual ownership. The four largest addresses are tied to centralized crypto exchanges, led by a Robinhood cold wallet holding approximately 27.16 billion DOGE valued at $2.155 billion. Wallets linked to Upbit and Binance held 11.68 billion and 10.9 billion DOGE respectively, while an address associated with the defunct Cryptsy exchange held 5.03 billion DOGE.
Alongside exchange balances, large holders possessing at least 100 million DOGE increased their collective holdings by 600 million coins between October 12 and October 16, rising to 56.21 billion DOGE. Dogecoin traded at $0.0795 on October 19, down 10.71% over 30 days, with a market capitalization of $12.43 billion and 24-hour trading volume rising 16% to $646 million.
