US Spot Crypto ETFs Record Net Outflows in Early October
Spot funds tracking Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana experienced negative flows during the first week of October despite earlier inflows.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs registered a net loss of $386.3 million across the first seven trading days of October. A Friday inflow of $21.1 million provided only a small recovery following sharp redemptions of $484.9 million on Wednesday—the steepest single-day exit since June—and $244.1 million on Thursday. This reversed an initial positive start to the month, which had seen $292.6 million enter over October 1 and 2, along with $118.8 million on October 6.
Ethereum funds suffered even larger withdrawals, extending their outflow streak to nine consecutive sessions after losing $56.1 million on Friday. October redemptions for Ethereum ETFs reached $635 million, bringing the total lost over the nine-day run to nearly $700 million, led by a $201.9 million exit on October 6. Despite the recent pressure, cumulative net inflows since launch remain at $13.2 billion with total net assets of $14.5 billion.
Solana ETFs also trended negative, shedding $3.8 million on Friday for a fifth consecutive day of outflows. The vehicles have dropped $24.8 million net in October, having logged only a single positive session of $1.3 million on October 2. Cumulative inflows for Solana products stand at $137.9 million.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
