XRP Ledger Nears Activation of Batch Transaction Amendment with Institutional Testing
A planned network upgrade will enable the atomic bundling of up to eight transactions, targeting settlement efficiency for institutional users.
The XRP Ledger is set to activate its Batch amendment on September 29 at 14:06 UTC, with 30 of 35 network validators supporting the measure as of September 20, surpassing the required threshold of 28. RippleX engineering lead Ayo Akinyele reported on September 19 that asset managers and commercial developers have begun testing the functionality ahead of full deployment.
The Batch feature allows between two and eight standard transactions to be combined into a single operational unit under four distinct execution modes: all-or-nothing, sequential success, execution until failure, or independent processing. The all-or-nothing mechanism is designed to prevent settlement failure in simultaneous asset and payment exchanges, ensuring transactions cancel entirely if any single component fails.
The upgrade also enables exchanges and custody providers to bundle platform transaction fees alongside client operations. The current release, issued on September 14 following third-party audits, replaces an earlier version that was withdrawn in February after code reviewers identified a potential unauthorized transaction vulnerability.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
