Dormant Wallet Transfers 600 Bitcoin After More Than 14 Years of Inactivity
An early Bitcoin address moved 600 coins worth approximately $51.9 million after remaining untouched since July 2012.
A long-dormant Bitcoin address transferred 600 BTC valued at roughly $51.90 million on September 22, 2026, ending more than 14 years of inactivity. The coins were originally received on July 14, 2012, and were moved from address 1K6vURxUuK6uUCeXxk31PCyDahAu1raunh in block 968116.
Data highlighted by Galaxy Research showed the transaction realized a profit of $48.71 million, representing a 1,063,304% return against an initial average acquisition cost of around $8 per coin.
The transaction coincided with an on-chain report from Glassnode noting that Bitcoin's MVRV metric crossed back above its 365-day moving average, a technical event seen in past market cycles. Crypto strategist Killa also commented on social media that he expects Bitcoin to test the $88,000 to $90,000 range before encountering a potential pullback.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
