Sustained 1 sat/vB Bitcoin Fees Lower Costs for UTXO Wallet Consolidation
Three months of baseline transaction fee rates on the Bitcoin network have significantly reduced the cost of combining wallet inputs.
An analysis conducted by cryptoticker.io on September 9, 2026, revealed that median Bitcoin network transaction fees have remained near the minimum relay baseline of one satoshi per virtual byte (sat/vB) for three consecutive months. Across 1,105 evaluated data points between June 9 and September 9, 2026—spanning block heights 953,003 through 966,255—fee rates never surpassed seven sat/vB.
Because Bitcoin fees depend on block space measured in virtual bytes rather than the value being transferred, standard SegWit transactions with one input and two outputs require around 141 virtual bytes. At a fee rate of one sat/vB, a basic transfer costs approximately 10 euro cents at a prevailing market price of $78,495 (67,496 euros) per bitcoin.
The prolonged period of low network congestion makes wallet restructuring particularly cost-effective. According to the data, combining twenty unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs) within a wallet currently costs less than one euro in total network fees.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
