Ethereum ETF Net Assets Drop $2 Billion Across Nine Consecutive Days of Outflows
Falling asset prices accounted for the majority of recent asset declines across exchange-traded funds holding Ether.
U.S. exchange-traded funds holding Ether recorded nine consecutive sessions without net inflows, with total net assets declining from $17.69 billion on October 5, 2026, to $15.71 billion on October 9. Over this five-day period, the aggregate valuation of the funds decreased by approximately $1.98 billion alongside a 6.9 percent decline in the spot price of Ether to $2,496.
The reduction in total assets was predominantly driven by market price depreciation rather than direct fund redemptions. Total net outflows across the five sessions stood at $542 million, representing 27.4 percent of the overall decline. The remaining $1.44 billion reduction reflected the lower valuation of the Ether reserves held by the funds.
Daily outflow figures also moderated following an early spike. Net redemptions peaked at $201.9 million on October 6 before declining to $160.8 million on October 7, $72.5 million on October 8, and $56.1 million on October 9. Prior to this streak, the most recent net positive session occurred on September 28, with inflows of approximately $17 million.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
