Crypto Market Pullback Shows Altcoins Experiencing High Intraday Volatility
A market study shows altcoins recorded intraday price swings of up to 17 percent as Bitcoin pulled back from the $87,000 level.
Bitcoin retreated from its brief move above $87,000 on September 23, 2026, dropping 2.59 percent over 24 hours to trade at $84,154.80. The asset recorded a daily peak of $87,283—its first test of the $85,000 mark since January—before declining to an intraday low of $83,856, resulting in a daily trading range of 3.93 percent.
An analysis by cryptoticker.io examined 16 non-dollar assets among the CoinGecko top 25 on the OKX exchange, comparing net 24-hour performance against full intraday price ranges. The data indicated that while net daily changes appeared moderate, price fluctuations within the session were substantially wider across major altcoins.
Uniswap experienced the largest intraday variance, moving 17.04 percent between its daily high and low before closing down 0.97 percent. Double-digit intraday swings were also recorded in Bitcoin Cash at 13.25 percent, NEAR Protocol at 12.09 percent, Dogecoin at 11.48 percent, Zcash at 10.92 percent, Stellar at 10.25 percent, and Cardano at 10.18 percent. Across all 15 measured altcoins, the median 24-hour decline was 3.18 percent.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
