BlackRock Acquires Over $1.5 Billion in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs
BlackRock absorbed $1.51 billion across its spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds over a five-day trading period.
BlackRock added $1.5104 billion worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum across three of its spot exchange-traded funds over a five-day span in late September 2026, according to SoSoValue data. The purchases coincided with a wider cryptocurrency market capitalization increase of more than $260 billion between September 17 and September 24.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) registered $1.190 billion in net cash inflows over a seven-day period, lifting its total Bitcoin holdings to $67.25 billion. In the same stretch, the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) brought in $320.45 million to reach $9.74 billion in net assets, while the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust (ETHB) recorded $15.64 million in inflows, bringing its assets to $1.15 billion.
In total, BlackRock's suite of cryptocurrency ETFs managed $78.14 billion at publication time. The firm accounted for a significant share of institutional flows across the broader U.S. spot market, which saw total BTC ETF inflows reach $2.653 billion and ETH ETF net inflows reach $680.72 million over the measured interval.
