US spot Bitcoin ETFs record $731 million in daily net inflows as price reclaims $80,000
Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the United States logged their largest single-day net inflows since January as the underlying cryptocurrency traded back above $80,000.
United States spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds attracted $730.9 million in net inflows on Thursday, marking their highest daily total since January 14, when inflows reached $843.6 million, according to SoSoValue data. The influx followed $101.2 million in positive flows on Wednesday and coincided with Bitcoin moving back over the $80,000 mark after fluctuating between $76,000 and $81,000 during the week.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust led the session with $454 million in net additions, representing roughly 62% of the total daily volume. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF recorded $137.7 million in inflows, while Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund took in $74.4 million. Conversely, VanEck's Bitcoin ETF and WisdomTree's Bitcoin Fund experienced net outflows of $19.6 million and $5.2 million, respectively.
Despite the surge in fund allocations, CryptoQuant reported that the price rebound was primarily fueled by traders closing short positions rather than an influx of new long buyers. The analytics firm noted that investors realized 23,000 BTC in net profits on August 21 and approximately 110,000 BTC since August 19, pointing to ongoing profit-taking as the market approaches the $83,000 level.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
