US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Attract $999 Million in Net Inflows in One Day
Net inflows into American spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds reached nearly $1 billion in a single day, led by BlackRock and Ark Invest.
United States spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds registered $999 million in net inflows on September 21, marking their third consecutive session of positive flows according to figures from SoSoValue. The surge in capital coincided with Bitcoin trading above the $87,000 threshold at points during the day.
Following these inflows, total assets under management across US spot Bitcoin ETFs reached $110.135 billion, which represents approximately 6.3% of Bitcoin's overall market capitalisation. Cumulative net inflows across the entire group reached $56.16 billion. BlackRock's fund led the single-day intake with $381 million, followed by Ark Invest and 21Shares with $289 million, representing more than two-thirds of the total daily volume.
Cumulative inflows for BlackRock's product alone stand at $64.506 billion, surpassing the net total for the entire category. This divergence is attributed to substantial and sustained redemptions from legacy products, particularly the Grayscale trust, which has experienced ongoing outflows since its conversion into an ETF in January 2024 as investors exited previously discounted holdings.
