Kenya Launches Academic Records System on Avalanche Blockchain
Kenya has deployed academic credentials on the Avalanche blockchain to enable digital verification of student records.
Kenya has placed more than 30 million academic records on the Avalanche network through the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), creating a blockchain-based platform for verifying educational credentials. The system allows employers, universities and other institutions to authenticate academic records onchain, making them harder to forge. KNEC and Avalanche announced the initiative in response to thousands of forged certificates reported in the country annually.
