BlackRock launches two Canada ETFs, one allocating 3% to Bitcoin
BlackRock Canada began trading two new exchange-traded funds on the Toronto Stock Exchange, including a portfolio combining global equities with Bitcoin exposure.
BlackRock Canada launched the iShares Equity + Bitcoin ETF Portfolio (IBQT) and the iShares Core MSCI All-International Equity Index ETF (XINT) on Monday. IBQT allocates 97% of its assets to equities across Canadian, US, international and emerging markets, with the remaining 3% directed to Bitcoin through BlackRock's Canadian iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT). Rather than holding individual stocks, IBQT primarily invests in other iShares ETFs to deliver its combined exposure.
XINT tracks the MSCI ACWI ex North America IMI Index, providing access to over 5,000 companies across roughly 40 developed and emerging markets outside Canada and the US. Both funds are managed by BlackRock Asset Management Canada through the RBC iShares alliance.
BlackRock's iShares business manages approximately $6.2 trillion in assets across more than 1,700 ETFs as of late June. The firm's US-listed iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) is the largest US spot Bitcoin ETF by assets under management, holding about $47.9 billion.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
