Justin Sun Highlights AI and Quantum Computing Risks for Bitcoin

TRON's founder expressed growing caution over Bitcoin, warning that advances in artificial intelligence and quantum computing could threaten network security.

In an interview with William Joy, TRON founder Justin Sun stated that he has grown slightly more bearish on Bitcoin due to algorithmic advances in artificial intelligence and developments in quantum computing. Sun argued that mathematical progress in AI could potentially allow classical machines to challenge existing cryptographic standards before full quantum hardware matures.

The piece highlights recent industry developments, including research published by Google Quantum AI regarding error-reduction milestones on its 105-qubit Willow chip. Although current quantum hardware remains far from the capacity required to break cryptography, revised research estimates suggest that fewer physical qubits might be needed than previously calculated.

Sun also pointed to the vulnerability of older wallet addresses with publicly exposed public keys, which data from Glassnode's co-founder estimates at roughly 6.04 million BTC, or about 31.2 percent of the mined supply. Sun warned that theoretical decryption breakthroughs could expose dormant coins to market pressure, noting that Bitcoin's decentralized structure makes reaching consensus on restrictive hard forks exceptionally difficult.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
