Bitcoin Spot ETFs Lead Daily Outflows as Major Crypto Funds Shed $85 Million
US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $46.65 million in net outflows on September 8, leading broader institutional withdrawals across major digital asset products.
US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds registered $46.65 million in net outflows on September 8, marking the largest daily decline among digital asset fund groups according to data from SoSoValue. The session marked the first simultaneous outflow across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana funds in 41 trading sessions, dating back to July 9.
Across the market, four fund groups shed a combined $84.56 million, with Ethereum and Hyperliquid products losing $24.29 million and $12.96 million respectively, alongside smaller redemptions in Solana funds. In contrast, spot XRP products led daily inflows with $1.55 million, followed by Hedera funds at $431,180, while six other altcoin fund categories recorded zero net activity.
Despite the single-day contraction, monthly figures remain positive for the largest cryptocurrency. US spot Bitcoin ETFs maintain net inflows of $723.5 million for September, compared to $106.43 million for Ethereum and $14.86 million for XRP. Over a seven-day period, Bitcoin's price rose 2.2%, trailing gains of 7.4% for Hedera and 7% for XRP.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
