BlackRock's IBIT Outpaces Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF with Strong Inflows
BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF gathered substantial new capital while Fidelity’s competing fund saw widespread redemptions over four trading sessions.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust recorded $196 million in net inflows on October 1, 2026, marking the largest single-day intake among U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds for the week. In contrast, the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund experienced $61 million in net outflows on the same day, concluding the week with only a single day of net positive additions. Over the four-day period from September 28 to October 1, the 12 U.S. spot Bitcoin funds collectively registered roughly $51 million in net inflows, according to data from SoSoValue.
The performance between the two funds diverged sharply over that four-day window despite identical 0.25% annual management fees. IBIT accumulated $292 million across the period, posting additions of $55 million on September 28 and $51 million on September 29. FBTC lost $11 million on September 28 and recorded flat flows on September 29. On September 30, which marked the final trading day of the third quarter, total spot Bitcoin ETF outflows reached $149 million, led by $126 million in withdrawals from FBTC, whereas IBIT saw $10 million in redemptions.
The recent outflows for FBTC followed a stronger previous week between September 21 and 25, when the fund drew $702 million alongside $1.16 billion for IBIT, contributing to a $2.4 billion weekly total for U.S. spot Bitcoin products. The report notes that quarter-end rebalancing by institutional managers and financial advisers often prompts adjustments to existing crypto portfolio allocations.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
