Ripple, Clearpool and Cicada Partner to Build Institutional Lending on XRP Ledger
A new collaborative project aims to establish an institutional credit market settled in RLUSD directly on the XRP Ledger.
Clearpool, Ripple, and Cicada have partnered to develop an institutional credit market directly on the XRP Ledger. The platform aims to allow vetted corporate borrowers to access loans denominated in Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin from institutional lenders.
The infrastructure will rely on native XRPL standards, specifically the XLS-65 Single Asset Vaults and XLS-66 Lending Protocol, embedding vault and lending mechanics directly into the ledger rather than depending on external smart contracts. Cicada is set to manage borrower evaluation, including credit history and cash flow assessments, while overseeing compliance checks such as KYC and anti-money laundering protocols.
Ripple will provide the XRPL and RLUSD settlement rails while also serving as a liquidity provider. Although the features have not yet launched on the mainnet, the framework is expected to integrate with the ledger's native automated market maker, potentially involving liquidity pools pairing XRP with RLUSD.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
