Dormant Bitcoin Wallet Moves $33 Million Amid Noah Doe Lawsuit in New York

A Bitcoin address inactive since September 2013 has transferred 411.45 BTC, challenging legal claims over allegedly abandoned cryptocurrency holdings.

A long-dormant Bitcoin address holding 411.45 BTC transferred its entire balance to a new address on Sunday, October 18. Inactive since September 2013, the holdings are valued at approximately $33.4 million. The transaction incurred a fee of 337 satoshis, or about 27 cents, to move the funds to a SegWit address.

The activity comes amid a legal battle in the Supreme Court of the State of New York initiated on March 11, 2026. An anonymous plaintiff identified as Noah Doe, alongside two Wyoming entities, claims ownership of 39,069 Bitcoin addresses containing roughly 3.8 million BTC, or nearly 19% of the circulating supply. The lawsuit argues the assets were abandoned due to lost private keys and should be awarded to the plaintiff under New York lost property laws.

The transfer undermines the premise of abandonment, marking another instance where a targeted wallet has shown activity since the filing. Legal proceedings have seen a stay issued in early June by Judge Kathy J. King following an amicus brief by attorney Ian R. Cohen, a motion to dismiss filed by John Doe 33 in late June, and hearings in July and September involving the Digital Chamber and the Bitcoin Policy Institute, with no ruling on the merits delivered so far.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
