MicroStrategy sells 1,637 BTC as holdings fall below 850,000

The bitcoin holding company divested roughly $105 million worth of bitcoin while raising additional capital through equity sales.

MicroStrategy offloaded 1,638 bitcoin between late July and early August at an average price of $63,957 per coin, generating approximately $104.7 million in proceeds. The company allocated roughly half the sale proceeds to preferred stock dividends, with the remainder deployed toward share repurchases of its own stock.

During the same period, MicroStrategy raised $290.6 million through additional equity sales and repurchased $81.2 million of its preferred shares. The company also increased its dollar reserves to $4 billion.

These transactions reduced MicroStrategy's bitcoin holdings to 842,138 coins, acquired cumulatively for $63.51 billion at an average purchase price of $75,419 per bitcoin.
