Japan's Remixpoint liquidates altcoin holdings to concentrate treasury in Bitcoin
Tokyo-listed Remixpoint sold its entire portfolio of Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin to consolidate its corporate digital reserves into Bitcoin.
Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed firm Remixpoint has fully liquidated its holdings in Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin, generating 878.8 million yen (approximately $5.5 million) from an initial book value of 761 million yen. The move leaves Bitcoin as the sole digital asset on the company's balance sheet, reversing the broader corporate trend of diversifying into multi-asset cryptocurrency treasuries.
According to the regulatory disclosure, the sales generated a net gain of 117.7 million yen (around $736,000), which will be recognized in the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027. Remixpoint realized gains of 60.2 million yen on Ethereum, 49.3 million yen on Solana, and 11.5 million yen on XRP, while Dogecoin generated a net loss of 3.26 million yen. Prior to the sale, staking rewards from Ethereum and Solana had brought in 29.9 million yen.
Following the divestment, Remixpoint retains approximately 1,506 BTC and reported generating nearly $1 million over six months from Bitcoin lending operations. The company cited a comprehensive review of market conditions and risk-return profiles as the rationale behind its single-asset Bitcoin allocation.
