MicroStrategy hints at further Bitcoin purchases after recent treasury additions

MicroStrategy co-founder Michael Saylor shared a historical acquisition chart on social media captioned 'A little more orange,' signaling potential plans to expand the firm's Bitcoin reserves. The post follows a series of treasury adjustments, including the sale of 6,919 BTC across July and August 2026, and a subsequent purchase of 4,603 BTC for roughly $369.7 million at an average price of $80,318 per coin. These movements brought total holdings to 845,050 BTC, representing about 4.02% of the eventual 21 million maximum supply.

Other institutional treasuries and funds also expanded their positions over the past week. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust saw $426.4 million in inflows, raising total net assets to roughly $59.75 billion. Strive added 469 BTC to reach a total of 25,000 BTC, while Capital B added 4 BTC.
