US producer price index figures released on Thursday showed an annual increase of 5.4%, coming in 0.1% above forecasts and remaining elevated above the Federal Reserve's 2% target. The monthly metric climbed 0.4%, matching projections. The data prompted losses across equity futures and crypto markets, driving Bitcoin down 2.2% to an intraday low of $76,464 before a slight rebound toward $77,249.

The market downturn triggered $363 million in liquidated long positions across the cryptocurrency sector, though Bitcoin managed to hold above the $76,000 support threshold. According to Alphractal founder Joao Wedson, the net position change among short-term holders is nearing positive territory after months of net distribution, potentially pointing toward renewed accumulation.

Onchain data shared by Axel Adler Jr. showed that short-term holders transferred 549,300 BTC to exchanges between August 19 and September 10, a timeframe during which the token gained 21%. The cohort's Spent Output Profit Ratio reached 1.01, having eased from an earlier peak of 1.045 while remaining in profitable territory, with market participants now looking ahead to incoming CPI figures and the next Federal Reserve interest rate decision.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
