NOWPayments Publishes Six-Month Enterprise Payout Data Across Major Blockchains
A newly released enterprise dataset shows TRON capturing the largest share of payout value, while BNB Smart Chain led in transaction count.
Crypto payment gateway NOWPayments has published empirical data examining six months of enterprise payout activity across TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum. Together, these five networks represented 94.04% of total payout volume and 77.84% of all payout transactions over the analyzed timeframe.
The findings indicate clear structural differences in network usage. TRON accounted for 43.69% of total payout volume despite representing only 15.73% of transactions, resulting in an average transfer size roughly 6.2 times larger than BNB Smart Chain. In contrast, BNB Smart Chain handled the majority of activity by transaction count at 48.23%, while generating 21.75% of total volume, reflecting a high frequency of lower-value transfers.
Ethereum ranked third in volume with 18.84% across 7.42% of transactions, followed by Bitcoin with 6.68% of volume and 2.60% of transactions. Solana generated 3.08% of volume and 3.86% of transactions, while leading all networks in execution speed with an average payout time of 1 minute and 45 seconds. Bitcoin followed at 2 minutes and 53 seconds, TRON at 3 minutes and 8 seconds, and BNB Smart Chain at 3 minutes and 13 seconds, whereas Ethereum averaged the longest payout time at 5 minutes and 56 seconds.
