Spot Bitcoin ETFs Attract $134 Million to Start October Following Soft US Jobs Data

Inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds resumed in early October as macroeconomic data reduced expectations for further interest rate increases.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $134.4 million in net inflows over the first two trading days of October, drawing $102.7 million on Thursday and $31.7 million on Friday, according to Decrypt's tracker. The positive flows followed a $148.7 million net outflow on September 30, which had interrupted a nine-session streak of consecutive inflows.

Market sentiment was influenced by the latest U.S. employment report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which showed nonfarm payrolls rose by only 29,000 in September while the unemployment rate increased to 4.2%. Following the release, CME FedWatch data indicated that the probability of an October interest rate hike dropped from 70% earlier in the week to 14%, reducing pressure on risk assets.

Bitcoin briefly touched $87,173 on Friday before settling around $85,000 on Sunday morning, near its September peak of $87,354. September closed as the second-best month for the funds since October 2025 with $2.65 billion in net inflows, bringing cumulative net inflows to $58.1 billion and total net assets to $101.1 billion. Nonetheless, skepticism persists among market participants, with traders on the Myriad prediction platform assigning a 93% probability that Bitcoin will not set a new record high this year.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
