Bitcoin ETF outflows accelerate as capital rotates to altcoins
Spot Bitcoin ETFs posted net withdrawals last week while Ethereum and smaller cryptocurrency funds drew inflows, reflecting a shift in investor positioning.
Bitcoin ETFs experienced $326.7 million in net outflows during the past week, with inflows of $265.2 million offset by $591.9 million in withdrawals. BlackRock's IBIT saw the largest single outflows at $186.3 million.
Ethereum ETFs, by contrast, showed relatively stronger daily inflows of $27.42 million against $32.9 million in outflows. Solana ETFs received $2.82 million in weekly inflows, while XRP attracted $14.85 million and HYPE drew $14.75 million. The Dogecoin ETF saw no weekly flows.
According to AMBCrypto analysis, smaller cryptocurrency ETFs are posting larger flows relative to their market capitalisation, even though they attract less absolute capital than Bitcoin and Ethereum products. The altcoin index stood at 53, signalling what the article describes as an active altcoin season and explaining reduced Bitcoin ETF momentum as investors reposition.
Bitcoin itself declined over 4 percent in the week, falling from around $64,000 to $62,556.58. The article notes a distinction in behaviour: Bitcoin's falling price correlated with reduced ETF inflows, whereas altcoin ETFs attracted capital despite similar price declines. This dynamic occurred as the 30-year Treasury yield rose to 5.234 percent, its highest since 2007, while the Federal Reserve held interest rates at 3.50–3.75 percent.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
