Standard Chartered Rolls Out Spot Bitcoin and Ether Trading for UAE Institutions

Qualified institutional clients in the UAE can now trade spot Bitcoin and Ether through Standard Chartered's regulated platform.

· +5

Standard Chartered has expanded its digital asset services by introducing deliverable spot trading in Bitcoin and Ether for institutional clients in the United Arab Emirates. Managed from the Dubai International Financial Centre and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority, the initiative makes the lender the first global systemically important bank to offer institutional spot crypto trading in the region.

The service supports BTC/USD and ETH/USD pairs as deliverable spot transactions, allowing clients to receive the actual underlying crypto assets upon order execution. Trading is integrated into the bank's established electronic platforms and foreign exchange infrastructure to fit standard market workflows.

Settlement operates separately from order execution. Institutional participants can select their preferred custodian to hold purchased tokens, with the option to utilize Standard Chartered's proprietary digital asset custody service launched in the UAE in September 2024.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
