Dogecoin Longs Dominate OKX Derivatives Accounts Ahead of Major Cryptos
OKX derivatives data shows 81% of Dogecoin accounts holding long positions, a significantly more skewed ratio than seen in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Derivatives data from the OKX exchange on the morning of October 16 showed a long-to-short account ratio of 4.17 in Dogecoin, meaning roughly four accounts held long positions for every one holding a short. This brought long positioning to 81% of active Dogecoin accounts on the platform, significantly more one-sided than the 1.61 ratio recorded for Bitcoin and 1.78 for Ethereum at the same time.
At midday on October 16, Dogecoin traded at $0.082375, up 2.9% over 24 hours but down 3.5% over the previous week, fluctuating within an intraday range of $0.077935 to $0.082513, according to CoinGecko.
The long/short account metric tracks individual account numbers rather than total capital deployed. As a result, small and large balances are weighted equally, functioning primarily as a gauge of positioning among retail traders rather than indicating total dollar exposure.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
