Cronos Collapses Below Support After Trump Media Treasury Deal Ends
CRO tumbled below the $0.053 support level after Trump Media terminated its $6.42 billion treasury partnership with Crypto.com.
On August 7, Axios reported that Trump Media had cancelled its treasury arrangement with Crypto.com, which had been structured around a $6.42 billion commitment including $1 billion in Cronos tokens and a $5 billion credit facility. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn confirmed the CRO Strategy venture had been terminated.
The collapse of such a large initiative within a year underscores challenges facing crypto treasury strategies, particularly those centred on assets with smaller market capitalizations and limited liquidity. CRO, which depends heavily on the Crypto.com ecosystem, faced additional pressure from severe bear market conditions since October 2025.
The token fell below the $0.053 support level that had been maintained since late June. CRO is down 13.8% over the past week and 30.4% since reaching $0.067 on the day Crypto.com announced a $400 million strategic investment from Citadel Securities in July. Technical indicators showed bearish momentum, with capital flow metrics signalling strong selling pressure. CRO has now fallen below the October 2023 low of $0.05 and sits 94% below its all-time high of $0.89 set in November 2021.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
