Bitcoin Stalls in $76,000 to $82,000 Range Despite Strong Spot and ETF Inflows
Heavy overhead supply and whale profit-taking are restraining BTC price action below the $82,000 mark.
Bitcoin has remained confined to a trading range between $76,000 and $82,000 after briefly clearing the upper threshold several weeks ago. The stagnation persists despite consistent demand, including $986 million in weekly U.S. spot ETF inflows bringing year-to-date inflows to $3.80 billion, as well as a 1,375 BTC purchase worth $105 million by Vivek Ramaswamy's Strive.
Derivatives activity has also picked up, with Binance open interest reaching a six-month high of $10 billion. However, significant selling pressure remains concentrated in the $76,000 to $82,000 zone, where Checkonchain data indicates approximately 35% of Bitcoin's supply was acquired. Net exchange inflows rose by over 593 BTC, leaving Binance reserves elevated at 685,000 to 687,000 BTC, while short-term whale unrealized profits touched $9 billion.
Liquidity analysis from CoinGlass reveals a dense cluster of leveraged positions above current prices, five times larger than the pool below $60,000. While clearing this cluster could induce a short squeeze above $82,000, market participants remain locked in a standoff around the supply band.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
