Bitcoin Cash Outpaces Bitcoin Over 30 Days Following CME Futures Announcement
Bitcoin Cash posted an 18.3% monthly gain compared to 6.5% for Bitcoin, propelled by CME Group's planned launch of BCH futures contracts.
Bitcoin Cash recorded an 18.3% increase over the past month, outpacing Bitcoin's 6.5% advance during the same period. The price of BCH reached approximately $275, driven primarily by a 29% single-day climb from $267 to $345 on September 22, peaking at $366 the following day.
The price surge coincided directly with CME Group's announcement of plans to launch cash-settled BCH futures contracts on October 19, subject to regulatory clearance. The proposed offering consists of standard contracts sized at 250 BCH as well as micro contracts of 25 BCH, providing institutional investors and funds with regulated exposure to the asset.
Despite the recent monthly outperformance, BCH pulled back 13.2% over the subsequent two weeks. The token remains down 53.9% on the year and is trading approximately 92.7% below its historical peak reached in 2017.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
