US spot Bitcoin ETFs record $731 million in two-day outflows before returning to net inflows
Spot Bitcoin funds saw heavy redemptions in early October before rebounding slightly, as price declines drove most of the weekly asset drop.
US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds registered significant redemptions on October 7 and 8, shedding $487.1 million and $244.1 million respectively, according to flow data. The two-day outflow of over $731 million marked the steepest decline of the week before funds reversed course on October 9 with $21.1 million in positive net flows.
Across the five trading sessions between October 5 and October 9, Bitcoin ETFs experienced net weekly outflows of $681.1 million, switching directions three times. Despite the turbulent week, cumulative net inflows since the launch of the products remain strong at $57.1 billion.
Total net assets held across the funds declined from $110.8 billion on October 5 to $105.8 billion by October 9. While net redemptions over that span totaled around $591 million, the broader $4.9 billion reduction in assets was primarily driven by lower Bitcoin market prices rather than fund outflows alone.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
