Bitcoin treasury company Strategy has purchased 950 Bitcoin for $76 million over the past week at an average price of $79,670 per BTC. The purchase brings the company's total treasury reserves to 846,000 BTC and represents its first bitcoin acquisition since August 31.

The transaction coincided with Bitcoin rising past $86,000 to trade at $86,045. Prior to this purchase, Strategy sold $432 million worth of Bitcoin across five transactions beginning in May under a program designed to increase cash reserves and fund dividend obligations. The company also repurchased $174 million of its perpetual preferred stock, STRC, which yields a 12.00 percent annual dividend and is trading at $98.91 against a par value near $100.

Addressing the contrast between company sales and his public advocacy, Chairman Michael Saylor stated that his personal guidance applies to his individual holdings, which he has never sold, while noting that Strategy is a public entity that manages capital according to disclosures maintained since 2020.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
