RippleX Integrates XRPL Settlement with Stripe and Tempo AI Machine Payments Protocol
A new developer toolkit from RippleX connects the XRP Ledger to an agent payment protocol developed by Stripe and Tempo.
RippleX released version 1.1 of its XRPL AI Starter Kit on September 15, introducing settlement support on the XRP Ledger for the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) created by Stripe and Tempo. The developer package also incorporates the Open Wallet Standard, a command-line testing suite, and a decentralized exchange trading tool designed for autonomous software agents.
The integration enables developers to settle single transactions using XRP, multi-purpose tokens, and ledger-issued assets. Furthermore, native XRP can be utilized for session-based payments via XRPL payment channels, whereas Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin is restricted to individual MPP transfers in the initial release.
Originally introduced by Stripe and Tempo on March 18, MPP acts as an open authorization protocol for automated agents accessing APIs, computing infrastructure, and model inference services over HTTP. RippleX's update provides a settlement bridge rather than an end-user payment application.
