Nasdaq-listed Bitmine added 53,501 ETH during the week ending August 30, bringing its disclosed treasury balance to 5.9 million tokens. The company has staked 5,067,309 ETH of that balance at an annualized seven-day yield of 2.67%, generating regular protocol rewards that contribute toward its corporate objective of holding 5% of all circulating Ether.
Based on Bitmine's circulating baseline of 120.7 million ETH, a 5% position equals roughly 6.035 million tokens, leaving an official shortfall of about 134,000 ETH. Modeling the current staking balance at the disclosed 2.67% rate indicates an annual output of approximately 135,000 ETH, which would almost fully bridge the remaining deficit over a twelve-month period without further direct buying.
On-chain monitoring service Lookonchain reported an unconfirmed September 1 acquisition of an additional 51,000 ETH by Bitmine-linked wallets from FalconX and BitGo, valued at roughly $126 million. If confirmed and treated as incremental to reported holdings, this purchase would expand the treasury to 5.95 million ETH and reduce the remaining gap to about 83,000 tokens.
