Bitget CEO: Bitcoin likely to stay near current levels through year-end
Bitget's Gracy Chen forecasts Bitcoin may remain within $10,000 to $20,000 of present prices by year-end, citing macroeconomic headwinds and interest rate concerns.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen predicted on the Trade Secrets podcast that Bitcoin will likely finish the year in a narrow range around current levels, influenced by interest rate movements and broader macroeconomic conditions. While the cryptocurrency has recently surged, Chen cited uncertainty about whether rates will rise or fall as a key factor that could pressure prices. She described her forecast of Bitcoin trading $10,000 to $20,000 above or below current levels as her "more responsible" prediction, given the difficulty in pinpointing whether BTC will end above or below $70,000.
Chen attributed Bitcoin's growing sensitivity to macro conditions to its increasing integration with traditional finance. She also expressed skepticism about near-term US government purchases of Bitcoin, despite the Trump administration's establishment of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve in March 2025. Chen argued that active government purchasing would constitute a significantly larger policy decision requiring broader political debate, making it unlikely within the next two years. The US government currently holds approximately 328,372 BTC accumulated largely through law enforcement seizures rather than direct acquisitions.
These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
