Revolut Discloses User Data and Crypto Records Following Fraudulent Government Request

The disclosure occurred after the company fulfilled a fraudulent information inquiry sent through an authenticated government email domain.
A company representative described the event as a sophisticated external impersonation scam affecting a limited group of users, while confirming that internal systems and customer balances were not compromised. Revolut did not provide exact figures regarding affected accounts or disclose the name of the government agency involved.
Blockchain investigator ZachXBT stated that the incident appeared to focus on high-net-worth clients, noting that the exposure of identity and cryptocurrency holdings could increase physical security risks for the targeted individuals.
