Large Bitcoin Wallets Add 113,950 BTC Since Mid-July, Santiment Reports
Wallets holding between 100 and 1,000 BTC have accumulated roughly 113,950 coins since July 15, according to Santiment data.
Data from analytics provider Santiment shows that Bitcoin addresses holding between 100 and 1,000 BTC have accumulated a collective 113,950 BTC since July 15. At a prevailing price of $84,388, the accumulated volume represents approximately $9.6 billion, lifting the total balance of this cohort by 2.2% to around 5.2 million BTC, or roughly $440 billion.
The accumulation occurred across a period of market appreciation, during which Bitcoin rose approximately 44% from late-June levels near $58,500, including a 10.4% advance over the past week that pushed the asset above $85,000 on September 21.
Santiment notes that this wallet bracket includes institutional custodians, exchange cold wallets, and OTC trading desks in addition to private individual investors. Consequently, internal transfers between custodian addresses or off-chain exchange trading can affect wallet balances without necessarily indicating new market purchases.
