Ripple Scheduled to Unlock One Billion XRP in Upcoming Monthly Escrow Release

The scheduled November 1 token release comes as XRP trades near one dollar and forty cents, with historical data showing most unlocked tokens return to escrow.

Ripple is set to release one billion XRP from its escrow vault on November 1, continuing the schedule established in December 2017 when the company locked 55 billion tokens into monthly release contracts. While the release provides tokens for liquidity and operational needs, Ripple routinely returns a major portion of each allocation to new lockups.

Historical figures show that between November 2025 and October 2026, Ripple unlocked a total of 12 billion XRP and placed 8.4 billion back into escrow, leaving 3.6 billion outside the contracts. In October 2026, the company re-escrowed 700 million of the unlocked tokens and retained 300 million, mirroring monthly patterns observed throughout most of the year.

At the time of reporting, XRP was trading at $1.40, down 5.61% after failing to maintain a mid-week rise toward $1.52. Technical indicators showed the price trading below its 50-day simple moving average of $1.43 but above its 200-day average of $1.28, with a 14-day relative strength index reading of 43.45.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
