DogeOS Launches Public Testnet for Dogecoin Application Layer

The MyDoge team has opened a public testnet for DogeOS, an EVM-compatible layer enabling smart contracts and decentralized applications on Dogecoin.

· +5

The development team behind the MyDoge wallet launched the public testnet for DogeOS on September 30, according to a corporate release. The platform functions as a separate application layer rollup on Dogecoin rather than altering the core network itself.

Technically, DogeOS utilizes a zkVM to generate cryptographic validation proofs and features Ethereum Virtual Machine compatibility, enabling developers to deploy smart contracts and existing Ethereum tooling. Network fees during the test phase are paid in DOGE, distributed through a public faucet at a rate of 42.069 test DOGE per day.

Several projects are currently deploying on the testnet, including lending protocol Superposition Finance, perpetual trading platform Derps, collateralized stablecoin USDoge, and prediction market aggregator Snag. The team has not yet announced a target date for the mainnet launch.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
