Germany's BW-Bank Integrates Crypto Trading for Retail Customers

BW-Bank has rolled out retail cryptocurrency trading inside its standard securities interface through a partnership with Bitpanda.

· +5

State-backed German lender BW-Bank launched retail cryptocurrency trading on September 9, 2026, allowing clients to transact directly within their existing securities accounts via the BW Nextbroker platform. The rollout follows an initial corporate offering established in April 2024 and a selective retail pilot conducted earlier in the summer.

The service connects users to Austrian firm Bitpanda, which supplies the execution and custody infrastructure under a MiCA licence issued by BaFin in January 2025. BW-Bank serves solely as the account interface rather than the asset custodian.

The catalog currently features ten digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Solana, Litecoin, Chainlink, Cardano, Tron, Polkadot, and Hedera. Access requires an existing BW-Bank securities account alongside active Nextbroker login credentials.

These two are not the same thing, and one does not produce the other. The left is how this single article reads, from its tone alone. The right is the site’s own call on the asset, from indicators and analysis. Press tone feeds no score and no signal: on the only corpus this site has measured, daily tone tracked the move that had already happened and showed no measurable link with what followed.
